We are glad you clicked this tab because it shows that, deep down inside, you realize that there’s not much good news in the world. We live in a world full of bad news—wars, divisions, civil unrest, and suffering. But our greatest problem is deeper than these things: our sins have alienated us from God.
The Bible says:
“Your iniquities have separated you from your God” (Isa. 59:2).
Because God is holy and righteous, our sins make us guilty before Him and His holy law, and one day we will stand before Him in judgment for them (Rom. 3:19-20; Heb. 9:27).
But here is the good news:
God, in His love, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to save sinners (1 Tim. 1:15). Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross in the place of the guilty, and then rose again on the third day, demonstrating that His mission was accomplished (1 Cor. 15:1-3).
The Bible says:
“Christ died for the ungodly” (Rom. 5:6).
And again:
“God made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Cor. 5:21).
Because of what Jesus has done, all who turn from their sins and trust in Him alone will be forgiven, reconciled to God, and given eternal life (Mark 1:15; Acts 20:17-21; Rom. 1:16-17; 3:21-26; 5:1). The Bible promises: “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Rom. 10:13).
